For 3D Printing and Machining we prefer STEP or IGES. Why not .STL? While STL is a format used for 3D Printing it is not suitable for machining. Even when 3D printing we may need to split the model, change the output resolution and add custom features to aide in setup, and this is much harder to do in .STL. For laser cutting the best formats are .DXF or .AI. These are vector formats and display curves smoothly and accurately. If you have any particular requirements for surface finish, tolerance and fit please specify this is an engineering drawing and upload it as a .PDF If you have an unusual or exotic material requirement, please let us know where it is available and the manufacturers designation for this material.
If your enquiring on CNC Routing of MDF or Plywood, unfortunately we don’t offer this service at this time. There are many local cabinet makers that can help with this type of work.
